About Me

I was born and raised in the Freedom area and am a lifelong resident of the Fox Cities. I graduated from Freedom High School before obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice from Marian University and an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Fox Valley Technical College. I am a single father and currently live in Freedom with my daughters, Lexi and Maddie, and my son Jaxon.

I spent 12 years as a police officer with the Appleton Police Department, working my way up to Senior Sergeant while serving as a Field Training Officer and part of the Crisis Intervention Team, which focused on helping people struggling with mental health issues. My career in law enforcement allowed me to interact with a wide range of people and situations, many of which required listening to and understanding peoples’ concerns, resolving disputes, and coming up with solutions to prevent future problems. That type of experience, along with direct exposure to various crimes, child welfare issues, drugs, government operations, etc. will be invaluable if I’m elected.

Following my law enforcement career, I switched gears to spend more time with family, becoming a real estate agent and joining the team of a local residential home builder. In 2017 I started my own real estate company in Freedom, Knaack Realty, and continue to serve as the broker/owner of the company while growing a team of agents.

While I share a lot of the same small-town, conservative values with many of you in this district, it’s vital I really listen to your concerns so I can best represent you in Madison. I’d strive to find common-sense solutions and work tirelessly to enhance your lives and the lives of residents throughout the state.
